I heard that too. While you travel outside U.S.A, you have to bring enough supporting materials that you used to apply for AP, and they still can deny your re-entry request through customs. One friend of mine said she was not treated good even though she got back to usa finally. So be careful, get ready to answer questions with convincing statement that explains why you have to go back to china. In a way, i guess it can be understood by asking such a question by INS:"now that you are seeking to live in the states, why can't you even stay here during your application time?"
