I went to the consulate in Vancouver during Christmas break...though I don't know how that matters :)
The interview was very simple, the officer just asked me about my current job, what I do, where I graduated, chatted a bit.
Besides the original I797 and DS156, the only other thing he asked for was pay stub.
Don't worry too much.
