If you will leave north America from Mexico,you should

hand over your I-94 in USA.( read the instracton of I-94,at the back side of your I-94)
If you travel to Mexico only,you don't have to hand over your I-94,but you may have to use AP,if you had lost your H1B status since using EAD to work.
