Help! EAD production ordered, but no received yet. the work

Help!

My EAD expired in today. However my renew EAD status is "Card production ordered" on Dec. 11, but I have not received it yet. My boss told me that I have to get my EAD card in hand and then can come back to work.

What can I do? When can I received the card? May I lose my job if the EAD card come too late?
