First, what about the interviews and local offices others mentioned for I-485? After NC, what's next?

****** there will be an interview if your case is transferred to local for some reason (not liekly for your case). After NC clears, you will get GC.

Another totally unrelated q: my in laws' application for extension to stay here in the U.S.: recently we got approval letter, but, we applied for 6 months (from Jan to July 2007), however, they granted only 3 months, and the truly weird thing is, they granted the second half, from April to July. How can that be?

**** I believe it is an mistake. Do not waste time here and call them to find out what happened.
