在波士頓移民局申請綠卡的朋友請進

今天六點就在波士頓移民局門口排隊，想要延期我的工卡。站到七點快凍僵了，一個移民官出來向我們宣讀了如下通知，不翻譯了，相信大家都看得懂。

policy change notification
Effective Feb. 13, 2004, we will no longer process I-130/I-485 applications or any application submitted in conjunction with an I-485. This includes I-765 employment applications and I-131 travel permission applications. We will accept the applications with fees attached and forward them daily to the National Business Center in Chicago, Illinois for processing. You will receive a filing receipt from that office with 21 days. All employment documents and travel documents will be mailed directly to you from the National Business Center. Residency interviews will still be conducted locally once the case is transferred back to Boston. Any employment or parole applications for cases currently pending here in Boston must also be sent by us to Chicago.

移民官說你的申請文件還是必須經由波士頓轉到芝加哥，不能直接寄。我的工卡四月底到期，雖然還有兩個月，可是能否在那之前拿到新卡很難說。我前麵的一個外國男人好像在普華會計師事務所工作，他的工卡三月初就到期，他連文件都沒交就決定去找他的律師商量了。

現在移民局所有成文的規定真的不知道什麽時候就變了。想給大家通告一下這個消息，估計很多人還不知道。

真的，今天我真想罵人。我現在還記得移民局裏的保安看到我們凍得發抖的樣子臉上那種隱含的笑意。
