If you can't provide strong reason for emergency AP, you will not have any chance for that. Something wrong with your AP is not a good reason. YOu need to get Dr. note regarding one of your close relative's health condition, i.e. someone in your family, is in immediate danger.
Another thing is whether your local office deal with AP based on employment-based I-485. Mine doesn't process this kind of case. You'd better call and ask for that before you go, especially if your local office is far away.
If everything goes well, you can get emergency AP in 1-2 days.
