Can I two I-485?

Hi,
Currently both my wife and I are applying emplyment-based green card. My wife is EB-3 and I am EB-2. My wife's priority is just 16 days away and I am 8 months away. I want to a I-485 form with my wife's application. Could I another I-485 when my priority date reach? Somebody told me I can only one.
