I would transfer my H-1B to H4 following with the petition of my hu*****and H-1B trasfer from university A to the university B, I could legally stay in USA as H4 after my hu*****and receive the receipt of his H-1B transfer from USCIS, even that time I lose my current H1B status, is this right?

But some people told me, only my hu*****and H1B transfer petition would be approved (namely that time my H4 is approved), then I could legally stay in USA. Only my hu*****and get receipt from USCIS I could not legally stay because my H4 petition is pending when i lose my current H1B status! It is so confused to me!
