Fingerprint is for FBI report. Fingerprint itself is meaningless.
The FBI report is only valid for several month. Therefore if you ask the report right now, it expires even before your case be pre-reviewed. Usually you can other materials first. Wait until Canadian ask you to the FBI report (usually it is 6-10month after you get your file number).
Don't worry, just wait for their step by step instruction. Lot of other information also need to be updated even if you them now.
