請教兒子申請大學的身份問題!

兒子來美國四年, 現在正在填寫大學申請. 我們的I-140已經批準, 現在是I-485等待階段. 大學申請表上是選擇綠卡(permanent resident)還是國際學生(international student)身份? 我寫信去幾所大學訊問得到的是模棱兩可的回答. 懇請大家特別是有過類似經曆的朋友指點! 謝謝!
