new rules on AP

Just got to know by calling the USCIS that AP will take 180 days to process the case. It used to be 30 to 90 days, that is how they claimed before. It seems I have to waiting forever to get AP. I have already waited for more than 2,5 months now. I am wondering whether this is some shitty new rules about AP.
My advice to whoever wants to apply for AP should do it way early than we assumed 90 days process time.
