Question about F-1 and I-485 pending

I am in F-1 status now. As a dependent, my I-485 is pending. I am going to apply for EAD and to use EAD for internship. After using EAD, I am no longer in F-1. My question is: In case that my I-485 is denied, can I change my status to F-1, and how to change? Thanks.
