J-1 waivor need help!

I have one question about J-1 waivor.
After DOS sent the recommendation letter,we still need approvl from ins. During this period, is there any way we can check our status in ins website or we have to just wait for the letter.
I changed my addresses for many times since I came to u.s., How do I inform INS of my new address?
please kindly help! Thank you in advance
