Certified marriage certificate

The court told me that after we get married, it will take 6 to 8 weeks to get the marriage certificate. My attorney assistance told me that if I get a certified copy, it will work too. Anyone know how to get a certified marriage certificate? Can we get it from the court the day we get married at the court? Thanks.
