I am filing the form for my mom for her extension and I am applying for my
H1-B visa now (changing my status from F1 to H1).

In part 3, I am not sure what the answer should be.

2. Is this application based on an extension or change of status already
granted to your spouse, child or parent? Yes No

3. Is this application based on a separate petition or application to give
your spouse, child or parent an extension or change of status? Yes No

I do appreciate your experience.
