Senior home

my parents likes to move to senior home (got greencard 1 year ago), but called couple places, they told me the new rule requires they stay with the sponsor (which is the children) at least 5 years then they can apply the senior home.

anyone has parents recently got into the senior home? how long they waited for the space?
