My suggestion, better 6 months. No clear rule on it

Different officer may have different attitude toward it. I know a few cases in which the GC holders leave sponshors shortly (3 months) but receiving smooth naturlization interviews. I also know one case in which A GC holders who left shonshor after a year was still questioned the circumstance about the leaving in the naturalization interview. Anyway at least three months. Generally after three months, it will be very hard for CIS to revoke your GC based on intent fraud ground.
