請問加拿大要求寄護照--頭疼 :(

請問加拿大寄護照信中提到護照和已過期的護照及登陸費要一起寄出.
但是過期舊護照幾年前就丟了 . 不隻沒有舊護照是否還要麵試, 真是麻煩. 請問有經驗人如何解釋為好? 信中原話如下:

Please the valid passports for you and all accompanying family members included in your application to the Consulate address as indicated below. Please detachh any expired passports from the valid passport that you send to our office.......
