Xiaobaitu, My twocents and others, please help

I am currently working at University with H1-B visa. My I-140 has approved for one year and I -485 has been pending for one year.

If I get a job in a company and the company wants me start in one month, can I use H1-B for my new job (I know the H1-B for year 2007 has run out, and I can apply H1-B for year2008)? If the company starts applying my H1-B visa for me right now, can I work once I get the H1-B receipt? I still did not apply my EAD, EAD application may take 3 monthes. I just want to know how can I work legally if the company wants me start in one month.
