I don't think the situation will effect others,but the I-485 app

of dependent was filed by her/himself as a join-in dependent, you weren't her/his petitioner, so you can't
withdraw her/his I-485 application except you determinate your relationship,she/he may withdraw the I-485,no affect to your application.
