email from USCIS

I sent an email to the USCIS on Wednesday regarding my I-485. it has been pending for more than two years. I asked them how much longer I have to wait. Today I got a reply saying "follow procedure". What does this mean. My case is in the procedure or I have to follow the procedure no matter how long it is? Thanks.
