We also thought so. and tried very hard to switch our I-485 to the approved one. Butour first I-485 were denied because we didn't responsed RFE of NIW.and we were told to file a new I-485 based on the approved eb1a. Xiaobaitu is absolutely right in term of the I-485 switch.
