confused, 485pending, AP pending, H1, can I back China?

Hi
My states:
I have 485 pending based on my hu*****and's 140 approved. And I have AP pending too. I am on H1B states now. I have a planned bussiness travel to China.
Question?
Before my AP approve, can I travel? My hu*****and company lawyer says, I cannot. But My company lawyer says, I can.
Who is right? Anybody can help?
