To Xiaobaitu: OPT and I485, more than complex, Help!

My wife ted OPT application (she's F-1) 10 days before I filed my I140-OR. My lawyer adviced we ted I485 for me and her concurrently since it's available now. So, we filed I485 for my and my wife. Last night, I checked on this website. I found many say I485 pending is not good for OPT application. When we filed I485, we had thought that my wife can get and use OPT for a year till my I140 is approved and then we can EAD application for her based on I485. Now, given the possibility of not approving her OPT, shall we go ahead EAD(485) for my wife (her graduation is this Dec.). Since I140-OR is not guarantteed unless it is approved, my concern is what if I140-OR not approve 6 months from now, what would be my wife's status? Can she still work?
Or simply another way, can we withdraw her I-485 application now(It's ted one week ago via overnight FedEx)? So she can at least have OPT for a year. Too much worry. Should have read all OPT-I485 pending message before ting hers.
Please advise....
