W/ USCIS grants you an EAD is determined by your 485 status, Pending or denied.
If 485 was denied, EAD would be revoked even if approved
If 485 was still pending (even 485 was denied but a Motion to reopen/reconsider has been filed), an interim EAD could still be issued as long as the EAD application was pending over 90 days.
