that legal aliens are eligible to receive w/o affecting their eligibility for AOS.

WIC falls under the Welfare Reform law,(a.k.a) PRWORA Signed by US President On August 22, 1996. DOJ also published a guidance regarding public charge which took effect on May 21,1999.

legal aliens are allowed to have certain public assistance before they become LPR, WIC is one of them.

Don't worry. If ur lawyer still thought ur WIC a problem, tell him/her to check on Fedearl Regulation published in 1999.
