If she can earn more than 1,000 for her application by filing I765 concurrently with 485. It may worth to try if ur NIW (assuming ur NIW I-140 is processed at the same speed as EB1) has a higher chance of approval and if your concern is about money. In that case, you make more $ by spending more.

Assuming EB1 I-140 denied, and still in legal status (H1B and H4 status), and NIW got approved later. Can still file 485 on that NIW I140.
