I filed NIW I-140 to VSC last September and it was transfered to NSC. Recently I received RFE from NSC to ask for addition evidence:
" additional evidence which persuasively demonstrate that the national interest would be adversely affected if a labor certification were required. You must demonstrate that it would be contrary to the national interest of the United States to potentially deprive a potential employer of your services by making available to US workers the position which you would fill."
Specifically they asked for:
1. Independent letters.
2. Updated citation.
3. Statement from my previous colleague (first author) to state my contribution to the work (I am the third author); Grant application proposal for the published work.
4. Current resume which lists all of my publication.
I had only one first-author (one citation) and one third-author paper (heavily cited, 86) when I ted 140/NIW application. Right now I have more citation (12) for the first one, one more 1st author (one citation) and one more 2nd author paper (accepted). My previous boss doesn’t want to give me the grant proposal but offer to write a letter for me instead. Will this hurt RFE? What should be in this letter? How about the statement?
Currently I am working in a company as a postdoc. Do I need a letter from the company?
For the independent letters, should I ask them to write the letters themselves or draft the letters myself and send to them for signature?
Please help if you have any suggestion. Thanks a million!
NSC NIW RFE, Please help!
