Yes, constription happened in american history...but the Vietnam War which is in 70s (30 years ago) and WWII which is even 61 years ago. if you looked the most recent Afiganstan war or Iraq war, you will find, with the most developed weapon in the world, US army maily use so-called 遠程作戰 no more need the large-scale constription...just try to comfort her...and also this is i am going to tell my bf.
