NIW 485排期還在05年三月，我是不是沒希望在最近拿到綠卡了

我的485在TX pending，140已批，PD 10/2005. 排期未到，也不知道什麽時候才能拿到綠卡。不過看來他們還是在動沒有current的case。我們昨天遞交的485 RFE補件(medical exam) ，今天收到email說,

On August 17, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates.

請問這個” preliminary processing” 指的是什麽? 也包括name check嗎?
