I-485 NSC was send 2/2/05 one week after sending I-140.
3/11/05 1st Finger Printing.
5/9/05 I-140 EB-1a approved.
6/6/06 2nd Finger Printing after 15 months.
7/6/06 RFE for me: Ask 1) Location of Current employment, 2)Employment letter and evidence to confirm and carry out the conditions of I-140, 3) clear copy of Photo ID.
In Employment letter I tried to write terms like "Permanent position without fixed term" which may help to convince CIS and give all my new materials to confirm 5 items of my I-140.
Looks like our black and white copies of Passport page and visa page do not satisfied CIS, so I tried to make all color copies.
7/10/06 RFE for my wife even though I sent both together. Ask
1) More vaccine and TB test which are not done due to pregnancy 2) clear copy of ID. Again, I make color copies.
7/24/06 one week after sending RFE, my I 485 was approved and GC was send one week after I-485 approval in an regular envelope such that I almost throw the letter (GC) in trash can. Although my wife's RFE was replyed on the same day, it was not approved.
8/14/06 today, 20 days after reply, my wife's 485 get approved.
It took us about 1 and half years.
It comes when you don't care about it.
Hope this experience help release some of your anxiety and prepareI more carefully.
