Please help! My situation is:
I am on H1b for a nonprofit organization, which was not subject to the annual quata cap. A company (for-profit) is going to offer me a job with better pay in October. My questions are:
1. Am I eligible for H1b transfer now, since the cap was reached in July?
2. If the company agrees to postpone my start day to April and the company files H1b application for me on April 1, 2007, is it legal for me to work for the company immediately when the filing receipt is received?
Your input is greatly appreciated.
