If you hold a passport from Taiwan, the H1 visa stamp you get is valid for 3 to 5 years/m-entry. And you can come and go through USA, Taiwan, Mainland easily.
If you hold China (PRC) passport, your H1 visa stamp good for 2-entry 3/6 months, and you can't go to Taiwan unless you got sponsored and approved.
