saying you are currently full time employed for xxx position with annual salary of xxx. You have been employed since xxx. I have been asked to show proof of employment once at u.s. customs border and once at embassy. As long as I pull out the employment statement, they let me go. Other things I always prepare besides pay stub is my original I-20, bank statement and full package of H-1 application material. I have been once asked for I-20. Though I did not bring it, luckily I had it within my full H-1 application package. Qustions I have been asked at embassy are like "do u pay tax in the states?" "what do u think about xxx industry in China?" "who is your boss?" " what is xxx company?". At the U.S. customs, they always ask "what is your position?" and put that down in their paper. Interesting I have been once asked to show my drivers license at customs.
