Xiaobaitu, Mytwocents please: H1 transfer question

My H1B is under transfer from university A to B. The new H1B application was ted to VSC three weeks ago by the university B but the receipt hasn't been got. My current employment is going to be terminated within one week.My question is: what should I do for my legal visa status if my current employment being terminated and the new H1 transfer receipt not being received?
