reponse from USCIS about my 485 status inquiry.Any suggestion?

I just got a reponse from UScis about my 485 status, like this:

" The processing of your case has been delayed. A check of our records establishs that your case is not yet ready for decosion, as the required investigation into your background remians open.
Until the background investigation is completed, we can't move forward on your case......"

By the way, 485 RD/PD is 2/16/2005, just current.

這是否意味著我陷入持久的NC了,還是這也可能是USCIS對case inquiry統一的官方回複.請有類似經驗的朋友們賜教.謝謝.
