Thanks a lot for your advise/input, gdluck!

I have to wait until after Sep 17, 2006 to apply for L1 because I joined my current company (the Canadian subsidiary) on Sep 17, 2005, and L1 visa requires you have to be with the company's foreign subsidiary with management duties for at least ONE year.

Personally, I do not care that much about getting green card. It is possible that I would not even ask the company to apply green card through EB1-C. Of course, it is always nice to keep that option open.
