求教Xiao Bai Tu等眾高手：EB1OR， I-485 pending，如何麵對換工作問

本人的基本情況如下：

某大學Assistant Scientist；
EB1OR，university sponsored，NSC；
I-140， RD：10/7/2005；AD：10/31/2005；
I-485, RD：10/7/2005； still pending。
目前是H1B身份，擁有AP和EAD(均未使用)。
已經預約八月底到澳大利亞返簽H1B(尚保有澳大利亞永久居留權)。

麻煩是：如何麵對可能的年底換工作問題？

-- 有無可能在這之前拿到綠卡？(如何查詢有無NAME CHECK？)
-- 是否下一個位置必須是“永久性的”及其他以確保I-485 APPROVAL？
