school officers are not clear about immigration rules

I found a lot of times school officers are not clear about immigration rules. They are Americans and do not have experience with immigrations.

But the trouble they caused can only be taken by the students themselves. No one else will be responsible. It is the student's responsibility do research and homework to make sure they are in legal status.

It's a lesson in American life.
