why not even to try it if it doesnt hurt at all?

i agree that the bar is very high in all the 4 centers for people who want to go eb1-a. but that is not advising you not even to try it. it is always important to pay some time to carefully study the eligibility so that you know if first of all you have the stuff to satisfy 3 (minimum) of the 9? requirements and then where to start. always to present your case with CONVINCING evidences that the officer (or your friends after they read it) feel hard to deny. you should also keep it in mind that a persuasive and well written petition letter can make difference.
