Something to share on EAD, H1-B, and change of employer

i am in eb2 category and my i-140 was approved and i-485 has been pending for more than 180 days. i just started working for a new employer. i assumed that i would just use ead card and renew it every year until i get my green card. however, my employer really insists to do another h1-b for me. they feel that h1-b is good for 3 years but ead is only good for one year and needs renewal. i told them that i already used ap and i am literally using ead now. in that case, i am on a aos status and might not be eligible for another h1-b application. however, they found a good lawyers and asked. the lawyers says both ways (ead and h1-b) are ok. the new h1-b application wouldn't have effect on my on-going green card application. since there has been a lot of discussions on this, i am just sharing some ination from my side. if anybody else has the same situation or experience, please share with us too. thanks.
