EAD and AP

Normally your lawyer want you to apply for EAD and AP with your I485, because they don't want to do it for you later. That's not nessesarily a bad thing. Many people find it too late to apply for it when they know they need it. My suggestion is: if there is even a small possibility that you will need it, then you should apply for it. After all, it only costs you $200 something. There is no harm to your immigration status if you don't use it.
