I made inquiry about the Canada immigration with a law firm. It gave me a score of 70 and suggest that I start the petition for Canada green card, which is a very enticing idea to me, considering that I am faced with the possibility of losing my assistantship and F-1 status. Although I am working on H1B petition in the meantime, I do not want to solely rely on that. So I have the following questions for you (please note: I am with my wife (F2) and my daughter (born in the US in December 2003)):

1. Is my petition for the Canada green card going to in conflict with my H1B visa petition?

2. If my H1B visa is granted, what is the best way to discontitue the Canada green card petition that minizes the cost and causes least damage for possible future re-petition.

3. How much money is needed for Canada green card petition? There is a huge number of law firms doing this stuff. How do I find those reputable ones?

4. If I have to leave the US due to loss of status, will my Canada green card petition continue as normal? What possible ramifications it may have?

5. Is there any speedy option for Canada green card processing like premium processing for H1B? What factors would help speed the process?

Sorry to bombard you with so many questions. It is just that I have been losing sleep(and hair :)) these days. Your kind reply is highly appreciated.
