I worked with a Chinese lawyer who was in NY City. He charged me $3K for lawyer fee. After receiving the first payment for $1k and sending me some sample letters, he lost the interest to help and it was very difficult to catch him on the phone. I simply dumped him.

I used a local lawyer to help me in filing, but I did most of the work. The lawyer simply put the entire document together and sent it out. The lawyer is helpful, but you will need to do most of the writing.
