That is the number you will be given after you submitted your I-485. In the I-485 receipt, the number will be indicated. You need that to apply for your EAD/AP or inquiry about your case status. Right now, you don't really have Alien number if you didn't apply for GC in the past. But don't just leave it blank. Just put N/A there so INS know that you didn't neglect that.
