Xiaobaibu, thannks for you response.
Maybe I should be clearer. I think his case is little complicated:
He entered China with a US passport and the Travel Document. In 2000, after his travel document was expired, I was told the travel document was expired, and can not be renewed;the only way to exit China was to get a Chinese passport, so we used his birth certificate to register him as Chinese citizen and got him a Chinese passport. Then I applied F2 visa for him at US Consulate in Beijing.Visa Officer noticed and inquired about his birth in US, but still issued F2 for him. We left China in 2000; then he was 4 years old. He entered US with his Chinese passport and F2 visa. He has not gone back to China since then. He has travelled between CAN and US with the US passport.
Issues:
What is his citizenship now?
If he has lost his US citizenship, how can we restore it?
If we want to travel to China, which passport should/can he use?
There is an exit stamp, but no etnering stamp in his US passport, what could be potential trouble.
Thanks for your kind help.
回複:It's easy,if he leave China with US passport & a valid
