Received a Response from VSC after phone enquiry

In respond to my phone enquiry on 6/14/06, the letter from VSC says something like "your case is in process. We will let you know in 60 days." Are they serious about the "60 days", or this is just another standard message that will lead to nowhere? Thanks in advance for any input.
