Since you change to the new I-20, you are suppose to leave US by the new expiration date. If the CIS (original INS) does not get your I-94 (ususally collected by airlines when you leave the country), you are already counted as illegal stay. So leave ASAP, since if you stay longer than 180 days after that date, you will be banned for 3 yrs (at least) to re-enter US for any reason. If it is over 1 yr of illegal stay, the ban is 10 yrs.
