回複:Can I file I-485 by myself?

your employer should have an original 140 approval letter. They send one copy to the lawyer and one copy to the employer. After all, the employer is the applicant.

Your lawyer should give you all the orginal copies if you decide not to use her. Unless there is a contract that you have to use her through out the process.

You absolutely can do it yourself. If you use a copy, make sure you use a certified copy.

My 140 was denied because we didn't submit the original copy of the approved labor certificate (only one orginal copy held by the lawyer)
